QVHS prepares for Spring musical

By: Will Musial

Get ready to go “under the sea” with Quaker Valley’s spring musical production of the “The Little Mermaid.” This show is about a mermaid who falls in love with a prince and wishes to live on the land to be with him. Fun costumes, big dance numbers, and the classic Disney story help make this show something you don't want to miss!

After auditions and a cast list in Nov. 2021, the musical cast has been working hard to get ready for the show. The COVID-19 pandemic forced audiences to stay at home and livestream the 2021 production of “The Pajama Game,” so QVHS Musical is excited for audiences to be able to return for this year's show. There will be four public performances in total and an invited dress rehearsal with the senior citizens of the community and members of the Best Buddies program. Director Austin Wolford says that he is “most excited to welcome back our patrons to live theater to enjoy this Disney classic.”

The opening night for the production is set for March 10 at 7 p.m. Doors will open a half hour before each show. The next performance is March 11 at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 12 will host two performances, a matinee starting at 2 p.m., and an evening show that closes the run starting at 7 p.m. Tickets have gone live and are available for purchase at qvhsmusical.ludus.com or from the link available on the QVSD website. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for students, children, and senior citizens.
