The Quaker Valley volleyball team ended its season with a 9-11 record. The team has had its fair share of accomplishments over the past few years, including a historic win at the 2024 WPIALs. This team's success can be attributed to its strong sense of community, teamwork and leadership on and off of the court. “Recently, we have gotten much better at working together as a team,” varsity player Aria Casillas said. “Together, we have improved not only our playing, but we have also improved our focus [and] boosted our enthusiasm and energy when in tough matches.”

Varsity middle hitter Nola Ebberts remembers the Avonworth game as especially noteworthy. “The first set of the first game against Avonworth was really memorable because we were all connected as a team and very focused,” Ebberts said. “Our energy was high, and we were ready for anything—which is so important for a team, especially in this game, because Avonworth is a known rival of ours. Despite the fact that we lost the game in the end, it was a crucial moment of connection for our team, as we are still young and learning how to be on the same wavelength.”

Moments like these define the QV volleyball team. The players' chemistry, focus and determination continue to set the tone for promising seasons in the future. With each match, the Quakers strengthen their identity as not just strong competitors, but as a close-knit group working toward a common goal.
